Thomas Capece Honored as Professional of the Year in Salon Management
After retiring from the U.S. Navy, Mr. Capece took his career in a creative and artistic direction

Menlo Park/Edison, NJ, July 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Capece, Department Manager for Premier Salons Inc., has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Salon Management. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

While many who retire from the military pursue secondary careers in a field pertinent to their service, Mr. Capece took a more artistic and creative route. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he established himself as a haircolor specialist. As a department manager for Premier Salons Inc., a position he has held for 43 years, he is responsible for hairdressing and as well as overseeing staff, payroll, salon orders, inventory and administration. He currently headed a salon located in Macy's in New Jersey. Additionally, he acted as a liaison between the department store and the Premier Salons headquarters.

Mr. Capece is an expert hairstylist who not only excels at his craft, but also demonstrates his ability to build great rapport with customers and staff alike. His skills derive from numerous certifications and ongoing training, including accreditation in L'Oreal Color from Premier Salons in 2005, certification in advanced fashion hairdressing from The Chadwick Program in 1976, two Roux Professional Colorist certificates, obtained in 1974 and 1981, and certification in advanced techniques in hair from Fashion Studio in 1965. Mr. Capece initially obtained a beauty school license from the state of New Jersey in 1963. He also studied at Coiffure Creation Academy and completed a training program at Premier Salons. In addition, he holds a certificate of achievement from Matrix Hair Color.

For his vocational excellence, Mr. Capece was twice named Salon Manager of the Month by Premier Salons and was honored as Stylist of the Year by the Macy's Division of Premier Salons. He was also nominated as Manager of the Year in a national competition. Notably, Mr. Capece was the top producer in N.Y., N.J. and Pa.; further, for more than 10 consecutive years, produced in excess of $1,000,000.00. A leader by example, Mr. Capece has met with copious success in four decades and hopes to achieve more in the years to come.
